The Next Century Software is the first Pakistani software house which is
developing software products. The software products are being marketed
throughout the Pakistan. the NCS software products are database applications.
These database applications are prepared to meet the requirement of a
particular business. Some product are general which can be used nearly all
type of bussiness like NCS General Accounts or NCS Payroll. The NCS products
are low priced and are being sold with the sale after services commitments. The
product supports and fixes are for every one who has bought ou T/P or U/L.
The U/L means User License. The user license can be obtained directly or
after trying T/P of some product (If that product is available in T/P). When
you buy the user license you have to filled the user license form in which you
mention:
(1) Name of Person (2) Company Address (3) Purchasing date etc.
On receiving this form with the payment NCS issued a data file on a floppy
which bears the name of the company in the coded format. This file is
automatically inserted in the system. After completing this procedure the
company name will appear on all the screens and reports.
There are enough chances that a person could not run a software in the
begining. Using a software demands enough knowledge of computer. It is very
difficult for the common users to maintain the good level of knowledge all the

changes technically or visually it is given a new version. The new version is
available on CDs and its fixes/upgrades are available on the Web. The new

buy separate U/L for each computer. The server U/L is the main
software which contains central database. The work station U/L contains only
program and it is low priced too. No T/P can be run on networks.
No, NCS does not offer any annual or partial maintenance contract for its
products. The error are fixed and are dispatched via internet. Some problems
which may arise due to the virus attacks or hardware failure are repaired by
NCS. The service charges for that work depends on the estimated man hours. The
minimum charges for the first hour of that service is Rs. 300/=. However NCS
charge an annual renewal fee for its software products. Which ai also called
License renewal.

No, you can not run NCS products in DOS. However some software products may
have the reports which are printed in DOS mode. This change of mode is
controlled by the product automatically.
Yes, you can run/use NCS software products without mouse. The hotkeys can
be used for the menu operation. The keyboard can be used for all the
operations. But it is difficult to run the software without mouse.
